Chapter 19

Now, we have come to our final side, 12, in our series of lessons, which begins with Chapter 19. This chapter mentions the forthcoming marriage of the lamb and his bride, which reaches its fulfillment in the finally of the book.

Also in this chapter we have the reappearance of the rider on the white horse. In verse 11 we read, “And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse and he that sat upon him was called, Faithful and True.” What an appropriate name the author gives to this rider. When we first met him in Chapter 6 he was not named, but from his description we could interpret his symbolic meaning as, our spiritual aspirations. What better name can be given to our spiritual aspirations than faith and truth? Faith and truth in us are what most fully characterize our spiritual aspirations so how fitting that the author of Revelation should name this part of our nature, Faithful and True.
