Allammelech (A. V., Alammelech), allam'-me-lech (Heb.)--king's oak.
A place in Asher (Josh. 19:26).
Meta. A state of consciousness in man that realizes that "the joy of Jehovah" is his fortress and strength (the king's oak; a place in Asher, Asher meaning happy). An oak tree stands for something very strong and protective; it signifies the defense of the Almighty.
