Ethiopia, e-thl-o'-pl-a (fr. Gk.)--burned faces; country of the burning.
A country in Africa, to the south of Egypt (Acts 8:27). In the Hebrew it is called Cush (Gen. 2:13).
Meta. The darkened or material thought in which man has held his body and its activities--the seemingly mortal, physical part of himself--as opposed to the Truth; also the result in his body of this error thinking. (Cush explains this more fully; see CUSH.)
