Metaphysical meaning of Gerizim (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Gerizim (mbd)
Gerizim, ger'-l-zim (Heb.)--shorn places; waste places; barren deserts; cutters; rocky places, i.e., cut up.

The mount of blessing in the land of Canaan (Deut. 11: 29; Josh. 8:33).

Meta. The working of the law in blessings and good to those who think and act in harmony with divine principle. It is that in us which takes cognizance of the working out of life, health, peace, joy, plenty, and every good in our life because of our understanding of and obedience to the law of God. This phase of the activity of the law builds up the seemingly waste places; it cuts out the error and establishes the good. (See EBAL, the mount of cursing.)
