Metaphysical meaning of Obed-edom (mbd)
Obed-edom, o'-bed-e'-dom (Heb.)--servant of Edom; servant of Esau.

a "The ark of Jehovah remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months" (II Sam. 6:10-12). b There are others named Obed-edom, also (I Chron. 15:18; 16:5, 38; II Chron. 25:24).

Meta. That which believes in serving others, especially that which pertains to looking after the physical comfort of others (servant of Edom or Esau, and pertaining to the outer, earthly, physical phase of man).

Because the Ark rested in the house of Obed-edom, great blessings were poured out on all that dwelt therein. This proves that working with the divine law always brings good.
