Metaphysical meaning of Zippor (mbd)
Zippor, zip'–pôr (Heb.) --chirper; peeper; twitterer; hopper; small bird; sparrow; anything that moves swiftly.

Father of Balak, king of Moab (Num. 22:2, 4). Balak was the king who tried to get Balaam, son of Beor, to curse Israel.

Meta. The thought here, while free, unattached (bird), is of that which is not clear in its utterances. Isaiah writes of "them that have familiar spirits," and of "wizards, that chirp and that mutter" (Isa. 8:19); this suggests the nature of that which Zippor signifies (chirper, peeper, twitterer, and so forth).
