Metaphysical meaning of Eltolad (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Eltolad (mbd)
Eltolad, el-to'-lad (Heb.)--begotten of God; born of God; God's generation.

A city of Judah, toward the border of Edom in the south (Josh. 15:30); later it was allotted to Simeon (Josh. 19:4).

Meta. "As many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name: who were born [begotten, margin], not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (John 1:12, 13). "Having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth" (I Pet. 1:23).

Through praise and prayer (Judah) a new spiritual state of consciousness is born in us. When new ideas of Truth are begotten in us by the creative power of the word of God, we become more closely unified with Spirit in our thoughts and the very cells of our organism are renewed accordingly. This is a step in the process of regeneration, the new birth, and it will continue until we become wholly new creatures in Christ Jesus, until even the flesh body is spiritualized and redeemed from all possibility of corruption. This is our being begotten and born of God, and this is the significance of the name Eltolad.
