Metaphysical meaning of Hammuel (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Hammuel (mbd)
Hammuel (A.V., Hamuel), ham'-mu-el (Heb.)--warmth of God; enveloped by God; heat of God; wrath of God; burned of God.

Son of Mishma, an Israelite of the tribe of Simeon (I Chron. 4:26).

Meta. Mishma and Simeon both refer to hearing and obeying. This receptive attitude of mind opens man's consciousness to inspiration; thus man comes to know something of God, Spirit. As yet, however, the individual has not gotten away from the old idea of two powers, one of evil as well as one of good; he believes in God as sometimes a God of anger, and sense prevails in his life (suggested by heat of God, wrath of God, burned of God).
