Metaphysical meaning of Hashbaddanah (mbd)
Hashbaddanah (A.V., Hashbadana), hash-bad'-da-nah, (Heb.)--thought in judging; thoughtful judge; reason in judging; intelligent judgment; wise judge; judging with understanding.

One of those who stood at Ezra's left hand and assisted him in reading the book of the law of Moses to the people (Neh. 8:4).

Meta. Discrimination, discernment, wisdom, love. These constitute good judgment, and they are very necessary to Ezra, who represents here the spiritual consciousness expressing the law of Being, in such a way that all our higher thoughts and aspirations (men and women of Israel) may receive the law in understanding.
