Kartah, kär'-tah (Heb.)--city; meeting place; accessible; city; convenience; refuge.

A city of Zebulun, that was given over to the Levites of the children of Merari (Josh. 21:34).

Meta. A group of unifying, protecting thoughts (city, meeting place, refuge), with its corresponding nerve center (belonging to Zebulun, the faculty of order) in man. This city's being given over to the Levites denotes a further quickening of these thoughts into religious love and Truth.
