Metaphysical meaning of Nodab (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Nodab (mbd)
Nodab, no'-dab (Heb.)--nobility; willingness; spontaneous; liberal; abundant; free-willed; wandering of a father.

A people against whom the Reubenites, Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh made war (I Chron. 5:19); an Arab tribe.

Meta. Thoughts holding a high place in man's outer consciousness because of their professions of greatness, broadness, abundance, liberality, and freedom (nobility, liberal, willingness, abundant, free-willed). These thoughts, however, are not stable (an Arab tribe, wandering of a father) but are of the changeable, personal mind in the individual. They are discerned in their right light and are overcome by the higher ideals suggested by Reuben (sight, discernment), Gad (power), and Manasseh (understanding).
