a A Benjamite (I Chron. 9:7). b A priest who returned from the Babylonian captivity (Neh. 12:7). The name is spelled Sallai in Nehemiah 12:20.

Meta. The exaltation of the faculty of good judgment; the ability to discern and decide between the true and the false or limited in consciousness, that the error may be rejected and the true may be rightly valued and retained.
