Metaphysical meaning of Shepham (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Shepham (mbd)
Shepham, she'-pham (Heb.)--cold; bare; bald; shaven; naked; stripped; denuded of flesh; bare of trees; smoothed; polished; bright; brilliant.

A place on the eastern boundary of the Israelitish inheritance in the land of Canaan (Num. 34:10).

Meta. East represents the within. Shepham (bare, cold, naked, stripped) reveals the little esteem in which the unspiritualized thoughts and states of consciousness in man hold his body, as related to his true inner self. When Israel (the real and true thoughts in the individual) takes possession of the Promised Land, however, the lifting up of the body begins. Then this that has been regarded as barren and naked of spirituality begins to manifest what it is in Truth: spiritual, fruitful for good, and abiding; it brings forth abundantly of glad, joyous life, substance, peace, and wholeness.
