Zeruah, ze–ru. '–ah (Heb.)--heavily smitten; stricken; prostrated; scourged; leprous; hornets; wasps, i. e., striking as they sting; terror; panic.

A widow, the mother of Jeroboam (I Kings 11 :26).

Meta. A phase of the soul consciousness in man that is unclean and impure in thought and desire (leprous); also the troublous, fearful, stinging, error experiences that are the result of this condition of the soul (heavily smitten, stricken, hornets, terror).
