Metaphysical meaning of Joram (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Joram (mbd)
Joram, jo'-ram (Heb.)--whom Jehovah has set on high; Jehovah has exalted; Jehovah is exalted.

a Son of Ahab king of Israel (II Kings 8:25). He was killed by Jehu (II Kings 9:24). b King of Judah (II Kings 8:20-24). These kings are also called Jehoram (II Chron. 22:1, 5).

Meta. See JEHORAM.

The kings, Jehoram of Judah, and Jehoram or Joram of Israel, in their individual characters and reigns, were not true to that which their name implies. Seeming evil came to them instead of the good that should have been their lot.
