Metaphysical meaning of Medeba (mbd)
Medeba, med'-e-bå (Heb.)--waters of quiet; waters of rest; gently flowing waters; waters of peace.

A town and plain or table-land that originally belonged to Moab. It was in the inheritance that Moses and Joshua gave to the tribe of Reuben, on the east of the Jordan (Num. 21:30; Josh. 13:9, 16; Isa. 15:2).

Meta. A peaceful, restful attitude (gently flowing waters, waters of quiet) that always follows a victory over the carnal mind (Moab) and a fuller awakening to true spiritual understanding by the inner sight or discernment (Reuben) in the individual.
